About Us

At Capital Videography, we love our work and it shows.

We've been filming weddings in the Capital District since 1985, and hundreds of married couples count a wedding video from Capital Videography among their most prized possessions.

Here's what we believe:

We shoot what happens. We don't pose the bride and groom.

We're there for it all. Having two videographers operate two separate cameras allows us to get shots others can't -- for example, cutting to close-ups during the ceremony, filming the bridal party just before the announcements, and filming your guests at the same time as we get all of your first dance.

We stay out of the way. Our clients often tell us that they don't see us all day, and that's one of the best compliments we can get.

• We shoot to be the best of both worlds by combining real-time footage with artistic montage sequences. We keep it real, while making your day look like a movie.

We have experience shooting Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Hindu, and non-denominational weddings in spaces as varied as churches, halls, backyards, and gardens.

We use digital 3-chip cameras which capture stunning color, clarity and detail—right down to the skin tones and tears. In our editing studio, we use sophisticated digital technology to masterfully piece together your day, providing polished, professional results you just can’t get from a regular camcorder.

Although good equipment is vitally important, it is what we are able to do with this equipment that sets us apart from the crowd. We’re committed to pouring our heart and soul into every video we produce—dedicated to creating a work of art that you will be proud of. From the moment we arrive at the bride’s house to film her preparation to the moment we leave the reception, our goal is to help you remember every moment of your wedding day years into the future.

Sincerely,

The Capital Videography team --
